Friday is free festival day at California fairs and festivals.

I also try and offer a tip to help make getting to the festivals more affordable and this Friday's advice is take BART to the Live Oak Park Fair. Free shuttles to the Fair will run every 20 minutes from the North Berkeley BART Station via Rose and Cedar Streets from 10 am - 6 pm both days.
